True growth of Astrology can only occur when the finest minds on this planet focus their attention on this vast science, instead of concentrating on the physical sciences, which have been given precedence in the last 200 years and still continues to dominate our civilization.
If one ventures into Astrology one will find that it is a very interesting and enlightening science which actually works in day to day life.
Just like any other science it requires constant study and observation. At present it has an ocean of untapped opportunities for research and expansion. The situation is similar to the beginning of the renaissance when the explorers, scientists, inventors and artists of that time had a wealth of new areas to uncover and explore.
To regain its ancient glory, all Astrology needs is fresh minds and new ideas. The beginnings are auspicious - 21st century is set to be the renaissance period of Astrology.
A good Astrologer may be self taught, formally educated, known or unknown. The measure of an Astrologer does not necessarily depend on formal qualifications, credit points, degrees or personal recommendations.
A consultant Astrologer should be well-versed in the subject, have a genuine interest in helping and educating others, possess an intuitive and perceptive mind and have a very good understanding of themselves. They should have the integrity and discretion to know how to advise others. Much of this potential can be seen from the Astrologer’s chart itself.
Here are some of the qualities of an expert Astrologer as expounded by Varahamihira in his Brihat Samhita - “He/She is pure, skillful, bold, eloquent, possessed of a ready wit, a knower of time and place, filled with equanamity, not timid in assembly, victorious in debate with other Astrologers, well versed in occult rituals and capable of answering questions and providing remedies.”
Some Astrologers may be more interested in research/programming, writing or teaching rather than personal counselling.

It is the 27 constellations, and not the 12 signs, which truly map the ecliptic and provide the celestial backdrop for the affairs on earth.
The knowledge of these 27 cosmic transmitters has been most well preserved in the Vedic heritage of India, where they are known as “Nakshatras”. In addition to containing a detailed 23 pronged dissection of these celestial portals, this work contains 27 colored picture images that capture the functionings of these constellations in a way that words cannot … This is the most extensive & definitive book on this topic todate and will set the standards for others that follow.
by Prash Trivedi
Mr Trivedi is the first astrologer to put together an exhaustive, historical, numerological as well as esoteric account of the Lunar Nodes, including a masterful perspective on their relevance in the present day and age.
David Frawley, the well known Vedic scholar writes in his foreword ~
“Prash Trivedi, India’s most insightful young astrologer offers what is probably the longest, most researched and most original book on Lunar Nodes (Rahu & Ketu in Vedic Astrology) published in modern times. This book is worthy of serious examination by all students of Astrology and all those interested in the great mysteries of life, death, karma and transformation.”
by Prash Trivedi
Prash Trivedi offers a comprehensive, historical, numerological as well as esoteric study of the king among the planets ~ Sun. This work also highlights why it is time to do away with the widely prevalent Sun~Sign astrology.
“As some wise men say ~ the whole chart can be deciphered just by looking at the placements of the Sun, Moon and the Lunar Nodes. After covering the astrology of the Lunar Nodes in the previous work by Prash, we found it imperative to cover the primary luminary. We hope this work will be able throw some light on the source of all light. It is also hoped that this would lead to further research into the functioning of the star among the planets.”
The Rahu Ketu Experience is a beautifully written and deeply evocative book on the subject of the lunar nodes in Vedic astrology. Prash Trivedi generously reveals some of the of the erstwhile secrets of the Brahman class of Indian astrologers by writing in a format which is lucid, extremely articulate, highly creative, and very well organized. In addition, (and so unlike most Vedic astrological texts by Indian authors), this book is actually FUN to read!! One is never forced to plow through page after page of basically unreadable verbiage in order to detect glimmers of decipherable wisdom about Vedic astrology, but rather it is all right there, up front, and presented in a highly straight forward manner. The case studies are richly and comprehensively developed, and there is no assumption of reader expertise or prerequisite understanding.
The nodes come to life in this smoothly crafted work, and Mr. Trivedi’s wealth of experiential wisdom and human compassion shine through on every page. Add to that the fact that new concepts and new information abound in this work, and it becomes one of the very best in the field. Do you know what your ‘Karmic Distribution Control Planet’ is? Find out in ‘The Key of Life: Astrology of the Lunar Nodes,’ a work which is brilliant in every conceivable aspect.
~ Alison Spalding, Ph.D.
“As a Westerner attempting to study the nakshatras, I’ve come across many perspectives and works on them, but it wasn’t until I read your book that they finally ‘clicked’ for me and really came together. As a western and vedic astrologer, I tell everyone that asks me for information on the nakshatras that you’ve finally written “THE” book on them. Thank you so much for making this available for all of us.”
-Moses Siregar III
I purchased your book “The 27 Celestial Portals” a few months ago and it is excellent! I will certainly recommend it highly during my talk - I look forward to Prash’s next work - he has done a wonderful job with the Nakshatras.
~Steve Hubball, Astrologer, UK
It has been such a pleasure to read your book on nakshatras.
~Shiv Sagar, CEO, Sagar Theme Parks
I am a Jyotish student and practitioner in the US and am so grateful for your teaching in your books…I have your lovely new nakshatra book and also The Key of Life. Thank you for your brilliant educational service to the astrological community.
~J. Swanson, Student, USA
Thank you also for another exceptional book, the 27 celestial portals. You are really sharing vedic culture in a format that is understandable by Westerners, but that is not an oversimplification. To my knowledge, it is the only book that gives a good explanation of the Padas and I have found that it is important to take them into consideration.
~J. Hartwig,Italy
I would really like to express my hearty best wishes to you for writing books on subjects which are so drowned in mystery and whose knowledge is limited to the few. I went through your 3 books. They are all equally informative and interesting and incite one to knowing /exploring more on subject. Your latest book, seems no exception in this matter. It is a topic I had been trying to unveil from many years. Everything is so nicely put and presented along with illustrations and examples;it is marvellous. My congrats and good wishes to you and team.
~Nikhil Bhouraskarr,Software Engineer,India
I really enjoyed your new book about the 27 celestial Portals, specially the drawings and the indepth going of your explanations. Thanks,
~Anashwaran, India
I wanted to say that Prash’s books are in a world of their own with their insight. Thank you for your light and God Bless.
~Bharat Shah , NSW, Australia
I really enjoyed reading The Rahu-Ketu Experience.
Your latest book “The 27 Celestial Portals” is beautiful…priceless…
~Christine, Astrologer, USA
I recently purchased your book on Lunar Nodes and wish to thank you deeply. You have filled the book with many sparks of brilliance making it very illuminating.
I was wondering, given your understanding of the Nakshatras demonstrated in this book… Would you write a book on the Nakshatras?
I know of many, many astrologers who are thirsting for more information on the Nakshatras, so the book would be sure to sell well.
Thanks again for your very fine work.
~ Hank Friedman, Astrologer from USA
Thank you so much for writing your book, “The Key of Life, Astrology of the Lunar Nodes”. I am finding it completely fascinating. Your interpretations and understanding of the subject is quite amazing. At the moment I am using your book to prepare a presentation on the nodes. I am a student of astrology …and this is my first paper. I have enjoyed it sooo much, many, many thanks, and with much appreciation.
~ Patrice Curry
Finally, I’m not sure if I mentioned how excellent I have found your book The Rahu and Ketu Experience. I’ve read many Western and Vedic books on the subjects, but there is some way in which you really convey the personalities of these shadow planets, in all their complexities. It has helped my work as an astrologer a lot. Thank you!
~ Susan Applegate, USA
I have recently disccovered your book which I find very well written, and am enjoying it greatly ~ it is like reading about myself in so many ways
~ John Ryder, Australia
Fellow Students,
I have recently come across an amazing book covering the Lunar Nodes. The author, Mr. Prash Trivedi, has an astology practice in London and provides consulting services thru his excellent website at www.osfa.org.uk. The initials stand for Orion School & Foundation for Astology which also provides internet classes in Astrology. My Rahu MD started in 1995. My imersion in Astology began in 1997, of course understanding Rahu/ Ketu has been something like an obsession. But to my chagrin they seem to be truely, the hidden Grahas. Respected, yet consigned to the margins of analytical techniques. Treat them as malifics with limited aspects and sign associations. Yet any astologer can wax poetic all night long about her favorite true Planet.
I believe you will find Mr. Trivedi’s views on the Lunar Nodes quite compatible with the teachings of Hart de Fouw. Mr T. quotes Prashara for all his reasoning reqarding the influences and significations of the Nodes. Though he regards Ketu as exalted in Sagitarius, he makes convincing arguments for making Ketu a coruler of both Scorpio and Pisces! He makes a strong argument for the beneficial effects of Rahu in Taurus for many natives. But feels that Gemini is Rahu’s exaltation sign while it would co~rule both Aquarius and Virgo with Saturn and Mercury respectively. The elegant reasoning is supported by a thorough knowledge of Vedic mythology and a nuanced understanding of Sage Parashara’s teachings.
The more advanced students of Jyotish will appreciate his thorough description of the Lunar Nodes and many examples illustrating his analysis of how they will effect a native’s Karma. Twenty eight historical figures are used to illustrate the principles. We are talking about a book of 382 pages with, for example, 44 pages covering appearance, attributes, significations, rulership, etc. aspects, motion, timing and symbols for each Lunar Node. The writing is clear and concise and directed to our generation of astrologers connecting the Vedic ideas to our experience in the West. Namaste,
~ Rudy Bruehsel, From Colorado, USA
I am sure that I will get the Nakshatra book when I am finished absorbing this one (Rahu~Ketu Experience) ~ it is simply a wonderful and valuable contribution.
~ Devanju, California, USA
Dear and respected Mr. Prash Trivedi, I congratulate you on writing a wonderful book on Rahu and Ketu. It is perfect in every sense.
~ Pawan Kumar, Gurgaon, India
I listened to you speaking about the vedic perspective on a recorded interview ~ it was good to hear that there are others out there who are prepared to challenge/question the modern day world~view which as we know is very much conditioned by Maya’s illusory influence.
I’m also reading your Rahu Ketu Experience book which I find fascinating and very insightfully written
~Jaya Gopal Das, London, UK
I’ve just finished my second read of SUN ~ THE COSMIC POWERHOUSE …it is a wonderful book and quite complimentary to the RAHU one. Congratulations again … it has given me a lot to think about in my own research.
~ Kumkum Jain, Writer/Publisher from India
I received the book “Rahu~Ketu Experience” last week, and just wanted to let you know that the information contained is VERY VERY insightful. It certainly helped me understand myself much better… many thanks for all the research you’ve done!!!
~Mukund
The book Rahu & Ketu, arrived fast and promptly …and I read in it every day !! I must say to you that it is a very clear and straightforward book … very easy to read and with TONS of information…!! I am very pleased to have one in my care…!!!
~ Kerstin Jansson from Portugal
I have gone through your book “The Rahu Ketu Experience” and I have found it very illuminating and excellent book.
~ Ashok Agrawal, India
I was sent your book ‘The Rahu and Ketu Experience’ from a colleague. I am very impressed with the book so far and wanted to congratulate you on a well thought out thesis on the nodes. I have read about a third of your book in the first day and it is unusual for a book to hold my interest.
~ Andrew Lynn , moderator of the Muruga Astrological Research Group, Western Australia
I have read your book about on Rahu Ketu and it is one of the best books on Rahu & Ketu.
~ Vineet Gupta, Astrologer from India
I have just finished reading your book and must follow the impulse to congratulate you and thankyou for writing it. Your theory in particular about the nodes being linked to ones grandparents and ones genetic inheritance is truly amazing. I have never read any account of the nodes which is so exhaustive and you ought to be congratulated over and over again for writing this.
~ Kumkum Jain, India
I’d like to thank you for your inspiration and the knowledge you share with all. After studying your book on Rahu/Ketu, I understand much better, why Rahu is included in the temple~muhurta (Brahmasthan temples in India). Thanks also for sending so quickly the Sunpower~book. I’m really enjoying your writings, and I hope there will be more coming. Thanks again and keep going.
~Anashwaran
Dear Prash, First let me congratulate you on publishing “The Rahu Ketu Experience”, which is really very very detailled compilation explaining the facts on them. I am an Architect pacticing in Ahmedabad, India and developped interest in mystic over last few years. Hence I studied little of Atrology, Vastu, Reiki etc. which gave me insight in to the cosmic world.
~Tushar Modi, Ahmedabad, India
Your book, The Rahu/ketu experience was one of the first books I ordered from India. I so enjoyed your book. Thank you.

JYOTISH or VEDIC ASTROLOGY - A BRIEF INTRO
by Prash & Cheruki (Veno)
Vedic astrology is the modern name for an ancient system of astrology known in Sanskrit as “Jyotish” - “Jyoti” being light and “isha” being lord. Jyotish thus translates into “the Lord of Light” or “the Knowledge of Light”. Modern science now confirms that all matter/physical universe is based upon light and its interplays which would make Jyotish “the science of light”.
Vedic Astrology is a science dating back to more than 5000 years. Its earliest origins can however be traced back to the beginning of the manifest Universe. It passed down through the ages as an orally transmitted knowledge and formed an important part of the Vedas, one of the prime manuscripts containing the spiritual tradition of India.
Vedic Scriptures known as ‘Vedas’ describe Jyotish as ‘the Eye of the Vedas’. The world is always there but we cannot see it without our eyes - in the same way Jyotish is the light which illumines the universal knowledge encapsulated in the Vedas.
The Ancient Sages who according to Vedic Mythology are the mind born sons of Brahma (one of the Trinity, the Creator of the Universe in Vedic Mythology), were privy to the secrets and functionings of the Universe and transmitted their knowledge orally to their disciples.
The instructions of one such Sage by the name of Parashara were put into text around 3000 years ago. These writings form the backbone of present day Vedic Astrology.
Vedic Astrology is thus the earliest form of Astrology and is a system that has changed very little over the course of time. Its precision and accuracy as a divination science is unrivalled even today.
Its western counterpart, known as Western Astrology has its roots in the Roman civilisation. The Romans derived it from the Greeks who in turn derived it from the Egyptians.
Many scholars now believe that Astrology travelled to Egypt through the middle east (Babylonian culture). Babylonians had a strong connection with the Vedic civilisation flourishing in the northwestern region of the Indian subcontinent and so it can be said that their Astrology was very similar if not completely identical to Jyotish.
The modern day Western Astrology was deeply influenced by the Theosophical Movement. Theosophists as we know were channelling their information from the East - mainly India and Tibet. Somehow over the last century many faults crept into this evolving system such as the use of the astronomically inaccurate Tropical Zodiac.
Tropical Zodiac used in Western Astrology was relevant 2000 years ago but is no longer valid. There is no point in analysing a chart which does not correspond to the actual heavenly positions of the planets and signs. It is similar to playing music on an out of tune instrument!
Vedic Astrology is much more extensive and vast than its western counterpart. It is unquestionably the foremost among all divination methods and sciences.
It requires a serious and deep study with an open attitude from all the intellectual and inquisitive minds to uncover its magic. To all the critics of Astrology we suggest that they take a good look at the functionings of Vedic Astrology before they dismiss it as nonsense.
History bears testament to the fact that the greatest scientific minds like Ptolemy, Newton and Galileo all practised Astrology.
It is interesting to note that Ancient Vedic Sages knew about most of the astronomical phenomena including the precession of the earth’s axis thousands of years before modern astronomy came to know about it and used it in their calculations.
The present day Vedic Astrology is comprised of different systems delineated by different Sages, which are complementary to each other thereby adding to its richness.
Vedic Astrology covers every area of human existence and can give accurate results down to the minute. Vedic Astrology encompasses everything ranging from psychology, healing, prediction, religion and spirituality to everyday affairs.
Every birth is sacred and brings with it both positive and difficult karma which influence our Character, Talents, Relationships, Career ,Finance, Health and Spiritual nature.
There is nothing one cannot improve or change through greater self understanding and right application. Upon this foundation one can take responsibility for one’s Self and direct one’s life in a more positive and meaningful manner. Vedic Astrology helps you do exactly that.
We have an online course available for those who would like to explore this fascinating science from scratch
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VEDIC (SIDEREAL) ZODIAC AND THE WESTERN (TROPICAL) ZODIAC
It is important to know what differentiates Vedic Astrology from the more well known Western Astrology.
Vedic Astrology or Jyotish (its Sanskrit name meaning Jyoti - Light and Isha - Lord) is based upon the Sidereal Zodiac as opposed to the Tropical Zodiac used in Western Astrology.
Although the Sidereal Zodiac was used by Western Astrologers like Ptolemy in the beginning, over the course of time a more symbolic zodiac was adopted which is astronomically inaccurate.
This difference between the two zodiacs is called the “Ayanamsha”. The Ayanamsha takes into account the revolution of the earth’s axis, a phenomenon in Astrology known as the “precession of the equinoxes”.
To explain this in the simplest way possible the earth spins(wobbles to be more precise) on its own axis in a conical motion and takes approximately 25,800 years to complete one revolution. It means that every 2000 years the position of the vernal or spring equinox, which marks the beginning point of the first sign of the zodiac Aries is always changing and moving forwards in time.
Consequently the pole star also changes every few thousand years as seen in the figure below.
When a person born today has the Sun at 10 degrees in Aries using the Tropical Zodiac, in actual astronomical reality the Sun will be 23 degrees backwards placed in the sign of Pisces.
For example when the Sun used to move into Aries on the 21st of March at 200 A.D. today it will enter the sign of Aries around the 14th of April. When the Sun moved into the sign of Scorpio on the 22nd October at 200 A.D. today it will enter the sign of Scorpio around the 14th of November.
This the reason why the present day
SUN-SIGN ASTROLOGY is COMPLETELY WRONG.
It is a complete joke in more ways than one - it has very little to do with Real Astrology. It is time that it was erased from public/media consciousness.
The Sidereal Zodiac used in Vedic Astrology is astronomically accurate because it takes the shifting of the earth’s axis into account when calculating the longitudes of the planets and constellations.
The Tropical Zodiac used in Western Astrology is a Symbolic Zodiac based upon the position of the planets and constellations as they were in the sky 2000 years ago.
The Sidereal zodiac is the real zodiac as it actually appears in the sky at any given moment.
In order to convert a Western (tropical) horoscope into a Vedic (sidereal) horoscope one needs to subtract the current ayanamsa from the Tropical longitudes of the planets and signs to get their Sidereal positions. Because the earth’s axis is always changing its position the ayanamsa changes slightly every year.
In January 1, 1900 the ayanamsa was 22 degrees 27 minutes 59 seconds.
Today the ayanamsa is 23ē 52’ degrees.
There are various ayanamsas in use today. There are some disagreements on the actual measurement of the ayanamsa or longitudinal difference between the two zodiacs. The most popular and widely accepted ayanamsa in India was introduced by N.C. Lahiri. He calculates the precessional rate to be around 48 seconds per year.
Prash Trivedi is one of the world’s foremost authorities on Jyotish. His ancestral background includes notable Sanskrit scholars, writers, astrologers and Ayurvedic practitioners. From a very young age he was surrounded by ancient vedic mythology & cosmology.

Meaning Behind the Name
“India’s most insightful young astrologer!”
He pursued his higher education at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. After completing his degree, he received an invitation to undertake a spiritual pilgrimage to meet the Elders of the Hopi native American Indian tribe of Arizona.
For more information relating to his visit with the Hopi Elders Click Here
He returned to India and in 2000 wrote his first book on Vedic Astrology “The Key of Life - Astrology of the Lunar Nodes” ). This work has been recognised by experts all over the world as being the most informative work on the lunar nodes (Rahu & Ketu) till date.
Prash manages to incorporate Vedic Astrology along with other fringe systems in his research and work.
His vision is to arrive at a unified and universal form of Astrology, which would be a direct result of the synthesis of Vedic Astrology with modern day Outer Planet astrology. This universal approach to Astrology would also involve other fringe systems besides the symbols and mythologies of the Ancients.
His vision also includes compiling a true history of our planet and humanity. This he thinks would help us to approach the coming global consciousness shift armed with facts rather than fiction.
In November 2000 in New York he formed the Orion School & Foundation For Astrology .
In March 2001 he appeared on London’s BBC Radio and the Breakfast Show on Channel Five to discuss the benefits of Vedic Astrology and highlight the argument against the popular Sun-Sign astrology.
His second book “Sun - The Cosmic Powerhouse” was published in 2002 and coincided with his appearance on “The Laura Lee Show”, California.
Prash’s latest offering is a comprehensive illustrated work on the 27 Nakshatras (Lunar Mansions). It has been released under the title “The 27 Celestial portals” in the west and “The Book of Nakshatras” in India.
Since that time OSFA has expanded into a busy consultation service with many international clients, students and members.

The course is specifically designed to teach you how to interpret and understand your own horoscope.
Astrology is a tool for self-understanding. It does not matter if you have some or no background knowledge in Astrology. This course guides you through a simple step-by-step process.
Emphasis is on practical application. This is a hands on course. Without practical application and a process of enquiry one cannot really learn.
Those new to Astrology will gain a basic understanding of Astrology and those familiar with the science will have the opportunity to understand themselves at a deeper level.
As the "eye of the ‘Vedas’ (the spiritual tradition and knowledge of ancient India), Astrology gives us the vision to understand how to work in harmony with the rhythms of the universe.
The natal horoscope is the visual representation of the sky at the moment of birth.
There are many ways to apply Astrology as it relates to every affair of human existence. Astrology gives insight into spiritual, psychological and practical matters and can be applied to a person, country, or particular event.
Rather than try and conquer the entire field of Astrology all at once the simplest and most exciting way to approach the subject is discovering what it means to you personally.
Learning to interpret your own chart will give you the tools for personal growth and hopefully the incentive to pursue a deeper interest and study in all aspects of Astrology.
This course was designed specially to give you practical exercises for application in your own chart and to avoid boring exercises or too much unnecessary theory.
Before commencing the course you will be provided with your own horoscope based upon your time, date and place of birth.

I enjoyed your course. I found it well structured and user-friendly. In addition, you are the only astrologers I know who also provide a background of astronomy. I did not need this as I am an amateur astronomer, but I think it is good to show people what the signs actually are! J. Hartwig, Italy

“Not only does the OSFA course introduce the essential elements of chart interpretation to the student, it is exceptionally well organized and succinct. The hands on exercises are invaluable for grasping basic procedure and solidifying the principles into ones mind. In addition to helping the student understand the text, the tutors reveal what they see in the chart that the student has missed as it pertains to the task at hand. Without their eyes as a focus for mine, I would not have been able to see important features in my chart that were eluding my sight.”
Lynn Durst, USA
The course material is very interesting and clearly written. C. Wildwood, U.K.
I have never seriously ventured into any type of astrology before, so I wasn’t sure that I could learn it. Everyone says that astrology, especially vedic astrology is very complicated. But I found the course to be very simple, and a lot of fun. The tutors really helped me a lot. Now I am able to understand my own chart, it’s so great … Brigitte Domas, New York, USA
I have realised after doing this course that vedic astrology is a concrete science which is of much use in day to day life. It is always good to know more about yourself. Vedic astrology helps one do exactly that. In my view no person would have any difficulty learning from this course as it is completely to the point and does not leave you searching in a maze of words. It is much easier than all the introductory books which I have read on the subject. It took me less than a month to complete it. I am looking forward to a more advanced course … Les Heinrich Joseph, Queensland, Australia
I found this course to be exactly what it says it is. I am now in a position to interpret not only my own chart but read other people’s charts as well. Vedic Astrology is definitely on a wave ! Aditya, New Delhi, India
If viewed in a java enabled browser, this applet (online java application software) allows you to generate a vedic birth chart, both North-Indian and South Indian styles of janma kundali (janma kundli) from your time of birth, date of birth and place of birth. It also generates a view of information about positions of planets in the birth chart, the position of ascendant, nakshatras, and vimshottari dasha. It also allows you to calculate and display a whole lot of Divisional Charts, or varga charts. The current list of vargas this software displayes is : Navamsha, dashamsha, vimshamsha, shodashamsha, ashtamsha, saptamsha and shahstamsha. It is a simple software, but it displays all the relevant information about a janma kundali, namely, the positions of planets, divisional chart positions, nakshatras, Vimshottari dasha etc., and of course it is free.
If you are an astrologer yourself and are here to generate horoscopes for your own reading, you might want to note that the ayanamsha used in kundli calculations is Lahiri’s Ayanamsha. The value of ayanamsha correction is displayed along with the kundli.
… the voice of the Great Spirit is heard in the twittering of the birds, the rippling of the mighty waters, and the sweet breathing of flowers. If this is Paganism, then at present, at least, I am a Pagan. Gertrude Simmons Bonnin ( Zitkala-Sa), Dakota Sioux

Dear Hopi Brothers and Sisters,
Before starting this letter we would like to salute the
revered spiritual elders of the Hopi People.
We would also like to make a special mention for Dan Evehema
of the Roadrunner and Greasewood clan , who presently is the
oldest surviving interpreter of the traditional Hopi
spiritual leaders.
We pray for his good health, as his importance far outweighs
any treasure in this world.
We, Prashant Trivedi and Arup Mitra,(both Engineers) from
New Delhi, India, are convinced that the Hopis have valuable
insight into the human condition and the evolution of human
destiny over the next few years.
We are traveling overland across Asia and Europe and hope to
reach Arizona by the Spring of 1998.
As you are aware, your tradition and philosophy is inspiring
a lot of people all over the world.
The artists (Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and others) have
helped to spread your message all over the globe.
It is to them and will of the Creator we are thankful that
your message should reach us in India, a land far off from
your land.
The fact that man is ravaging and plundering earth's
resources and in doing so the damage he is inflicting on
Mother Earth and the Nature abounding her is known to your
people.
Your people are also aware of the fact that this mindless
exploitation and degradation of our planet cannot go on any
further if humanity has to survive.
It seems appropriate to use the words of a native Indian
Chief to convey this idea perfectly - "man did not weave the
web of life and is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does
to the web, he does to himself."
Though a number of indigenous people and tribes exist all
across the globe, we can safely say that none of them have
as deep an insight into the condition of Mother Earth and
the wisdom to deal with it as our Hopi brothers.
This wisdom and insight has come from centuries of close
association with nature.
We have not reached this conclusion about the Hopi people in
a haste.
It has been borne out of the ancient wisdom of Indian
philosophy which transcends even the starting of time band
the limits of our present universe.
The sayings of other indigenous people are also correct in
their own accord but are in no way as selfless as the Hopi
sayings.
Even the Hopi address to the UN was directed towards
warning humanity of the dangers it might face if it carries
on the way it is doing now.
The address could also have been used for putting forth the
problems faced by the Hopi people.
It is this sincerity and devotion to the cause of mother
earth and its inhabitants that stirs our hearts and minds
and attracts us to our western brothers.
An inner voice is guiding us closer and closer to your
people.
We are looking forward to meeting you in person in your own
environment.
We would like to represent the ancient culture, tradition
and philosophy of the holy land - India, rather than
represent any society or organization.
Societies and organization across the world who claim to
know the spiritual way and mean to promote peace and harmony
do so only in speech and not in action.
Most of them are not heeding the nature's warning of the
coming destruction.
This is the main reason we are not willing to bind ourselves
to any organization for 'Truth' follows no sect.
Receiving an invitation from you would not only help in
fructification of our efforts but also boost our already
strong faith in our Hopi Brothers.
The time has come for east and west to get together one more
time and "The Great Purification" is closer than we all
believe.
Hoping to hear from you.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Kathryn Rae,
We are planning to meet the spiritual elders of the Hopis
in the spring of 1998.
We are convinced that the Hopis have some valuable insight
into the human condition and evolution of human destiny over
the next few years.
Our journey is being supported by Dr. Karan Singh , Member
of Indian Parliament and Chairman of The Temple of
Understanding- an interfaith organisation.
For the US visa we would require an official invitation from
the Hopi Tribal Council.
We had written earlier to the Hopi Tribal Council, but did
not receive a reply.
We understand your newspaper focuses on issues relating to
the Hopis.
We have enclosed a write up "A Message from India" .
We want this to reach all the Hopi people especially the
Hopi Spiritual Elders" by being published in your newspaper.
We would be grateful if you could approach the Hopi Tribal
Council on our behalf and arrange for an official
invitation, so that we can meet the Hopi spiritual elders.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Prashant Trivedi and Arup Mitra.
A Message from India - Hopi Vedic Parallels
By: Prash Trivedi
Though a number of indigenous people and tribes exist all
across the globe, it can be safely said that none of them
have as deep an insight into the condition of Mother Earth
and the wisdom to deal with it as our Hopi brothers.
They are the chosen ones of the Creator as they were granted
permission to hold in trust all land and life for the great
Spirit at the time of emergence of the Fourth world, of the
Hopis or the present age.
This conclusion about the Hopi people has not been reached
in a haste.
It has been borne out of the wisdom of ancient Indian
philosophy which transcends even the starting of time and
boundaries of our present Universe.
According to the ancient Indian scriptures the creator
"Param Brahma or Adi Purusha" created the Universe through
his creative power "Adi Shakti" in a plan which comprised of
three axes and several vibratory centres along these axes.
So, the creative power of Mother nature had a threefold
existence with seven main vibratory centres along the
central axis, echoing the primordial sound "AUM" of life
throughout the universe.
Everything in the visible Universe from the smallest to
biggest is made on the basis of this plan.
These seven centres also exist inside the body of man as man
is made in the image of the creator.
The central axis in man lies along his backbone.
The primordial power "Kundalini Shakti" lies in the sacrum
bone at the base of the spine.
The awakening of this power and its journey through the
seven centres is the first step in the process of self
realisation.
Through this realisation comes the wisdom to exist in
harmony with Mother nature and the capacity to realise the
actionless, omnipresent, and eternal Creator.
These vibratory centres also exist in the Mother earth.
The Hopis also have a similar perception of the creation of
the universe by the Ultimate Creator "Taiowa".
There is an idea of Mother nature as a Spiderwoman who is
responsible for the creation of these vibratory centres
which echo the sound of the creator.
The Hopi wisdom is also aware of the central axis and man's
axis being the backbone which controls the equilibrium of
his movements and functions.
The Hopi legend also talks about "Palatkwapi" or the Red
House located somewhere in central America having four
storeys and on the top storey there is learning of planets
and stars.
In this story man also learnt about the "Open Door" in the
top of their heads, how to keep it open and converse with
the Creator.
This "Open Door" of Hopi mythology is the same as the
seventh centre on the central axis, and is called
"Sahastrara" - the Thousand petalled lotus in the Hindu
scriptures.
When the primordial power or the "Kundalini" is able to
pass through the last centre one can commune with the
Creator.
With time, detailed knowledge about these centres were lost
among the Hopi people, but it can still be found in the holy
land of India.
India has time and again seen the incarnations of the Great
Spirit, who have kept alive this knowledge throughout the
ages.
Knowledge of the ancient Indian scriptures strongly
indicates that the area known as the "Four Corners", where
the Hopis have settled is an important vibratory centre
which will cause the emergence of the new age which is known
as the Fifth World by the Hopi people.
Lets consider some facts:
The Hopi believe the Creator of Man is a woman.
The Sumerians believed the Creator of Man was a woman.
Vedic tradition and most of the other ancient
civilization believe in the feminine aspect of the
creator.
Vedic tradition calls her as Prakriti (mother
nature) or Shakti (creative force responsible for
weaving the web of life).
Interestingly, the Hopi regard her as Spiderwoman i.e
the one who has woven the web of life.
This was the predominant thinking of most of the
civilizations during the Age of Cancer, the mother
sign, which lasted from around 8000B.C to 6000B.C.
The Hopi believe the Father Creator is KA.
The Sumerians believed the Father Essence was KA.
The vedic tradition also believes that the root of the
father essence is 'KA' which is the first alphabet of
Sanskrit, the primary language of the Vedic tradition.
The Hopi believe Taiowa, the Sun God, is the Creator
of the Earth. The Sumerians believe TA.EA was the
Creator.
The Vedic tradition also believes that the earth was
born out of the Sun and has been nourished by it ever
since.
The Sun is seen and worshipped as the material
representation of the one true God, the eternal creator
provider and destroyer, in both the cultures.
The Hopi believe two brothers had guardianship of the
Earth. The Sumerians believed two brothers had dominion
over the Earth.
Almost all the cultures including the Egyptians,
Mayans, Assyrians, Phoenicians, and the Jews have this
concept of twin gods or brothers presiding
over the affairs of the earth.
This concept arises from the dual nature of the world
we live in symbolized by Gemini, the sign of the twins,
and worship of these twin gods was at its peak in the
Age of Gemini ranging from around 4000 B.C to 2000 B.C.
The Hopi believe Akush to be the Dawn Katsina. The
Sumerians believed AK.U to be Beings of light.
The Sanskrit word for sky, most preferably for the dawn
time which is considered the most sacred time, is
'Akash'.
The Hopi name for the Pleaides is ChooChookam. The
Sumerians believed SHU. SHU.KHEM were the supreme
stars.
Though Pleaides are significant to the Hopi people the
real significance is given to the Great Bear or the
seven sisters constellation.
Hopi believe that they came to earth from one of the
stars in the Great Bear in a big spaceship and the
Vedic scriptures have detailed mythology regarding
this constellation and the beings that reside there.
The Hopi believe Pahana was the Lost Brother who
would one day return to assist the Hopi and humankind.
The Sumerians would recognize PA.HA.NA as an Ancestor
from heaven who would return.
This fact that the name of the 'Saviour' matches
exactly is quite remarkable.
Again, almost every religion and culture has a concept
and a name for the saviour who would appear at the end
of the present age.
The fact that we are all brothers and sisters is not a
philosophical or emotional rhetoric.
There is also no doubt that the puzzle to find our
common ancestory is complicated but I feel that the
pieces are finally falling together.
Thus it can be seen that although nearly on the opposite
points of the globe, Indians and the Hopis share many
common features by the way of religion, philosophy and
traditions.
Foremost among these is the concern for nature as a life
giving force and the symbolism of Earth as the Mother and
supporter of humanity.
Veda's revere the forces of nature in form of the Gods
of the Sun, Earth, Wind, Water and Fire.
Even some plants and trees are the objects of reverence
according to the ancient Indian Scriptures.
The names of the Hopi people and their way of life is in
itself a tribute to the forces of Nature.
The fact that man is ravaging and plundering the earth's
resources is known to the Hopi people.
The Hopi call this imminent condition "Koyaanisqatsi",
which means a world out of balance ... a state of life that
calls for another way.
Even the address to the UN by Mr. Thomas Banyacya, a Hopi
Spiritual Elder, was directed towards warning humanity of
the dangers it might face if it does not mend its present
ways.
The address could have been used for putting forth the
problems faced by the Hopi people.
It is this sincerity and devotion towards Mother Earth and
humanity that stirs our hearts and attracts us toward our
Hopi brothers.
This spirit of sacrifice for the cause of humanity has come
because the Hopis have remained to the ancient spirit of
their people.
So it is important that more number of Hopi people take part
in the great ceremonies, that tell them of their origins,
their emergence in the forth world and the wisdom for the
future.
The Hopis cause has found its voice through the songs and
music of artists like Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix.
It is through the power of these ceremonies that these
messengers were brought to the world to spread the Hopi
message all across the globe.
We know that the Hopi people have waited patiently for
"Pahana" - The true White Brother, as told in your
prophesies.
But this coming will only be possible if enough of the Hopi
people remain true to their ancient spirit and put their
faith in the Great Ceremony.
The "Great Purification" as told of by the Hopi prophesy, is
coming close and so it is a time of great caution.
It is the time for east and west to come together as one
people because the Hopis and Indians share a common destiny.
The patience and perseverance of thousands of years may go
waste , because as the Hopi people know that great evil and
destruction will befall the world, if they falter at this
moment.
The historical burden of suffering and injustice on
humanity has to be dealt with by the attitude of compassion
and love and we pray the Hopi people will rise to occasion.

To Whom It May Concern
Three young men from India - Arup Mitra, Prashant Trivedi
and Virender Bhatt - having completed their professional
training, have decided to undertake an ambitious and
adventurous journey.
They seek to contact members of the Hopi Tribal Council in
Arizona, USA because they are convinced that the Hopis have
some valuable insight into the human condition and the
evolution of human destiny over the next few years.
They are travelling overland across Asia and Europe and hope
to reach Arizona by the Spring of 1998.
It is appropriate that this journey is being undertaken at a
time when the United Nations is observing the Decade of
Native People.
In a way this is an interfaith endeavour, and as Chairman of
the Temple of Understanding, I warmly support their
project.
I would be grateful for any help and assistance that could
be rendered to them on this Journey to the West, so that
they can return enriched with new knowledge and insight.

Dear Dr. Karan Singh,
This letter concerns the three individuals whom you met on
September 9th 1997 in New Delhi at your office in the India
International Center.
At that time, we proposed a journey to meet with the Hopi
spiritual elders at the Hopi reservation in Arizona, USA.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, only one of us, the
youngest of the three, has been able to fulfill this
mission.
I, Prashant Trivedi, take it as my duty to inform you about
my dialogue with the Hopi Elders and wish to honour the
support and encouragement you bestowed on us during the
initial stages of our endeavour.
Before I discuss what transpired in my talks, I wish to
present you with information detailing a brief history of
the events leading up to the present situation on the Hopi
reservation.
Old Oraibi is the oldest inhabited village on the American
continent, and had been the main spiritual center for the
Hopi people since the 13th century AD.
On September 6th 1906, a split between the 'Traditional'
Hopi and the so-called 'Progressive' Hopi led to the
formation of a new village called Hotevilla.
Hotevilla was formed under the leadership of Chief Yukiuma
and other Traditional Hopi, who were forcibly removed from
Old Oraibi by the Progressives with encouragement and
assistance from agents of the United States government.
Progressive Hopi differ from Traditional Hopi insofar as the
Progressives have chosen to adopt the ways of the western
culture whereas the Traditionals wish to continue following
the ways of their ancestors.
Since this violent split of their people, the Traditional
Hopi have considered their new village, Hotevilla, to be a
"shrine of the covenant" made between the ancient and true
Hopi people and their Great Spirit or Creator, called
Maasaw.
The spiritual power of the ceremonies which have been
performed by the Hopi since ancient times, along with their
precious stone tablets, were transferred to this new
village.
In 1936, the Progressives, along with the United States
government and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, set up a
'puppet' government which is now known as the Hopi Tribal
Council.
Such a central ruling body is counter to Traditional Hopi
beliefs, and since the ruling body first took shape, the
Traditional Hopi of Hotevilla have refused to acknowledge
it's authority, even when all of the other 13 Hopi villages
have decided otherwise.
To the discerning eye, time has proved the Traditional Hopi
right, but the Progressives still fail to see the error of
their ways.
Most notably, for reasons of material and economic gain, the
Hopi Tribal Council has allowed an outside interest set up a
large coal mining operation just north of their villages.
This mining operation transports the coal it extracts from
the earth through a what is known as a 'slurry pipeline.'
A slurry pippeline suspends the coal particles in water, and
the process pumps huge amounts of water from the aquifer
that provides water to all the Hopi villages.
Over the past several years, this aquifer has been severely
depleted and geologists estimate that the Hopi water supply
will dry up in less than ten years if the process is not
stopped.
Traditional Hopi are simple farmers who have depended on
this aquifer for centuries in order to grow their crops in
the dry desert of conditions northern Arizona.
Finally, in the course of last few years, the village of
Hotevilla has been unofficially divided just as Old Oriabi
had been in the past.
The Progressives are the majority, and they want to support
the Tribal Council and the American way of life.
On the otherside is a handful of Traditionalists who are
trying desperately to keep the flame of their ancient
tradition alive.
To this group of endangered Traditionalists belongs the
spiritual Elder Dan Evehema, the Eldest of Elders, who is
now 105 years old, with whom my talks took place.
Dan Evehema was a direct witness to the 1906 split in Old
Oriabi, and he is now the principal spokesperson for the
spiritual Elders.
His closest disciple, Martin Gashveseoma, who is now 75
years old, is the other Elder I had the good fortune of
meeting during this visit.
He is acknowledged by the Elders to be the Chief of
Hotevilla through the legacy of Chief Yukiuma, who was his
grandfather.
For a very complete picture of these events, you may wish to
browse the book entitled "Hotevilla - Hopi Shrine of the
Covenant - Microcosm of the World."
This book is co-authored by Dan Evehema and Thomas Mails,
and was first published in 1995.
I found it to be the most accurate account of the present
state of affairs on the Hopi reservation, which I have
witnessed for myself.
Also, it presents the Hopi message to the world straight
from the mouth of Dan Evehema and other Traditional Elders.
Coming back to my talks, I would first like to mention the
warm reception and hospitality bestowed by the Elders and
their families on an insignificant stranger from a land
which they know little about.
I was astonished to hear from them the fact that I was the
first visitor from India to visit for an interfaith
dialogue.
Initially, the talks centered on the similarities between
Hopi and Indian beliefs.
Like the four ages expounded upon by the vedic scriptures,
their faith holds four worlds as well.
There are considerable simlarities in the definition and
charcteristics of these ages which leads one to speculate
that they originated from the same source.
We discovered other areas of similarity, including the seven
spiritual centers which lie in an axis along the backbone of
man, and the four main paths to liberation as described in
vedic scriptures.
The most interesting similarities we discovered were the
repeated use of the Swastika in their ceremonies and rock
art, along with their worship of the Sun.
From their words it was quite evident that they had great
respect for the ancient wisdom of India, and they were keen
on further communication between our two heritages.
It is a great honour to deliver herein to the people of
India a message from these Elders which concerns the coming
the "Great Purification" and the emergence of the "Fifth
World."
The Great Purification is a term used for the upcoming earth
changes which will cleanse the earth of man's decadence.
Time is short, and the earth, their mother, is angry due to
the mindless activities of man and may choose to purify
herself in the very near future if man does not change his
ways quickly.
Ancient Hopi prophecy, which has been handed down to these
Traditional Elders from generations past, warn humanity to
change its course before it is too late.
Hopi prophecy foretold the World Wars of earlier this
century, and each of their prophecies are preceded by a
number of signs.
During our talks, the Elders revealed to me signs preceeding
the Great Purification which are coming to pass at this
time.
The Elders were concerned and dissapointed about the lack of
awareness of these concepts in the ancient land of India.
The Elders also believe that in the near future all the
races will have to unite to share their wisdom in order to
evolve a global conciousness in harmony with nature.
Before my departure, I was most honoured as the Elders
presented me with a sacred planting stick, purified by
ceremony.
Along with this planting stick, I received three ears of
corn used for seed, and detailed instructions concerning how
to raise this corn in the most adverse conditions.
The Hopi Elders have given to me all they were given by the
Great Spirit when they chose to settle in the area now known
as the land of the Four Corners.
The Hopi are unique as a people insofar as their
agricultural techniques are extremely simple and are
adaptable to the dry desert land of this area.
The Elders say that the first Hopi had chosen to live in
this barren desert so that they would always need to pray
for rain and thus not lose faith in their ceremonies which
maintain their bond with the Mother nature and Creator.
They said that the True Hopi people represents the Red race
through the authority vested in them by the Creator, Maasaw.
Maasaw had given them the sacred stone tablets at the
begining of this age along with the following message:
"I have nothing here. My life is simple. All I
have is my planting stick and seeds. If you are
willing to live as I do, and follow my
instructions, the life plan I shall give you, you
may live here with me and take care of the land.
Then you shall have a long, happy and peaceful
life."
All other races - White, Black, and Yellow have their own
stone tablets as well.
I noticed a sense of urgency in their message which is borne
out of the fact they are losing ground to all their
traditions fast.
The Hopi young no longer acccept the Wisdom of these Elders
as valid, and are blinded by the glamour of the Western way
of life.
Given the great influx of Western ways into our own culture,
and the rapid deterioration of our own religious tradition
over the past generation, it would thus be very appropriate
at this time to allow the people of India the opportunity to
hear their message.
I greatly appreciate all you have done in support of this
journey, and humbly anticipate receiving any suggestions or
advice you might have on how I might proceed further in this
endeavour.
Respectfully,
Prashant Trivedi

We live in a society that thrives upon competition, ambition, greed, and exploitation.
Because of this, the earth’s resources are being consumed at an alarming rate.
To make matters worse, few are really botheblack enough to be concerned with the consequences we face tomorrow.
But underneath, amidst all the affluence of the modern world, people are living with more fears and anxieties than ever before.
Real peace has become an illusion, and nearly all who are alive today have never experienced it, believing that peace is merely the absence of war.
The head powers of all nations deal with short term crisis intervention, and have no solutions for the long term well being of the planet.
Reform measures offer no solution, rather such measures are akin to using a life support system for a patient whose death is certain.
Like the legendary Phoenix bird, the entire structure must fall and be destroyed in it’s entirety before anything new will rise up in it’s place.
The religions, nations, and economic groups of today divide rather than unite, pitting one group against another, leading to a totally confrontational society.
All the religions of today are nothing but storefronts and shops, vying to sell their goods through proving their superiority, one over another.
Modern religion has little to do with individuality or the personal discovery of the real truth and meaning in life.
But regardless of all these things, we have been conditioned to treasure and preserve what we have, irrespective of any futility behind doing so.
Through conditioning, we have come to blindly imitate each other, and to varying degrees, our social structure rewards those who conform.
Modern men believe they are safe as they follow along with the status quo, while expending very little energy to question their own minds, beliefs, and behaviours.
A great amount of effort and courage is requiblack to challenge the system, to change one’s own course, and to begin to think freely.
In order for our minds to become free, one must reject and break away from the conditioning implanted in us since birth.
Only then does learning becomes a natural and effortless process.
The sensitivity and awareness of a free mind is inherent in all of us when we are young, and a mind that has become free is receptive and innocent, like that of a child.
The creative powers of youth are supressed and controlled through institutions, rules, media, and childhood conditioning.
The eagerness to learn and the explosive understanding we possess as children is destroyed through fear and intimidation.
We quickly learn to fear the wrath of our parents, our teachers, and our employer.
Beyond that, we are afraid of what our friends and neighbors will think if we fail, or step out of line.
Sensitivity, awareness, receptivity, and innocence are natural gifts, which are nurtublack out of us through a system of education that rewards competition and conformity rather than individuality and cooperation.
Our modern system of education is designed to form the individual to fit into the mold of established social patterns.
The established powers fear and supress the creative energy of youth, because if such creative powers were directed toward good, it would serve to quickly destroy the present structure.
Either one conforms to the status quo, or one is forced into a role of an outcast, delinquent, or failure.
The conditioning that takes place during our youth happens so slowly that most of us never realise that we have been programmed to live our lives under a certain pattern.
The lives of most have no depth, no meaning.
Men have become as cogs in the wheel of a clock or an industrial machine.
In order to break free, one must begin to continually and deliberately question everything.
Only through relentless inquiry does one begin to reach toward the root of everything, and attain complete understanding.
At this time, individuals who are free and aware must try their best to move out of this downward spiraling system, and begin to create a new, self-sustainable future, which is in harmony with the natural forces.
Each of us should come together in a spirit of complete brotherhood, and thus present an example as a witness to others.
We must create together, first in our minds and then in reality, a society without fear, prejudice, greed and competition.
This society must facilitate right relationships on all levels, and impart a correct education to coming generations.
Anyone who is sincerely willing to do this will not fail, because if one is completely convinced of an idea with the whole of his being, then his actions will automatically resonate with his thinking.

Majority of humanity at present has an awareness which is confined to daily activities in what is known as the ‘worldly realm’.
As a whole we find ourselves lost in this huge Universe with no connection whatsoever with the forces of the Cosmos, except probably for the physical connection springing from the awareness of being born out of the cosmic matter.
Hopi Wisdom Teachings
Most people’s thoughts do not even for a moment encounter this lost feeling because they occupy themselves completely with the mundane.
Very few among us are seeking to find our true place with in the observable Universe and other presently hidden realms.
Just looking around one sees that hardly anyone is looking up at the stars and wondering how they are related to us.
The astronomers seem to be the only ones observing them but in general their approach is purely material and bound by the rigid conformities of scientific thought.
So many questions relating to our existence remain unanswered but we turn our backs to them and go along living engrossed in the minor details of what is commonly known as “life”.
The plan of the Universe is same from an atom to a galaxy.
Our bodies are made up of sub atomic forces as well as the cosmic dust which created the stars and the galaxies.
We are the children of the stars and at the same time each of us is a full fledged atomic universe.
We stand right in the middle of the atomic and galactic realms in terms of both relative size and time.
The principle of being ‘the same with in as with out’ holds true as our relationship with the Cosmos is that of a microcosm and a macrocosm.
All these aspects of our existence have to be pondered upon and in time realized and experienced by each one of us through whatever path suits us the best.
This would be the true education for all of humanity regardless of all barriers of religion, country, occupation etc.
Even in the Hopi wisdom teachings, the image (shown above) of the ‘knower’ teaching a ‘child’ portrays the knower imparting the knowledge of the stars to the child, who is aiming at the stars with his bow and arrow. Here the arrow symbolizes the child’s attention and the bow symbolizes his mind/intellect. This as a whole is meant to show the four main attributes required for learning the ways of the universe - curiosity, innocence, humility and concentration.
A major shift in consciousness is now almost a necessity on an individual as well as the collective level.
The collective has moulded itself quite quickly to the changes brought about by science and technology in the last few hundred years.
The same process has to be repeated as our cosmological consciousness reveals new paradigms for us to explore.
No matter how much we might pride ourselves on being more developed than our predecessors as conceived by the theory of linear time and continual progress, the fact remains that the Ancients were way ahead in the understanding of the Cosmic Reality through sciences like Astrology than we are at the moment.
A close look at any of the ancient cultures and their scriptures reveals a highly developed cosmology and in some cases direct and sustained contact with other star systems and celestial realms.
We are on the verge of a major shift in the way we perceive reality … a shift much more significant than the industrial revolution, the democratic revolution and all the other such revolutions which we have so far considered as great leaps forward in the evolution of humanity .
It is impossible to find “true peace” at an individual or collective level unless a total oneness of being with the whole creation is felt and understood.
In my view the science of Astrology is the stepping stone for attaining this sort of awareness as it relates our lives directly with the celestial bodies with in our neighbouring cosmos.
The word Astrology is derived from two roots ‘aster’ - star , ‘logos’ - logic, giving it the meaning ‘star logic’ which is self-explanatory.
It is interesting to note that the word ‘disaster’ is made up of two roots ,‘dis’ - seperation , ‘aster’ - stars, giving it the meaning ‘seperation from the stars’ ; again the implications of this meaning in relation with the present understanding of this word are not hard to see
The Vedas ( the four main texts of Vedic heritage) know Astrology as ‘Jyotish’ which means ‘the eye of the Vedas’ or the ‘science which brings us to the light’.
The Vedic scriptures are full of storiesrelating to the observable star systems and the different celestial beings which inhabit these regions.
Rather than dismissing these stories as mythology or some cooked up fantasies of the primitive mind we would do well to take a closer and deeper look to bring into light the knowledge they contain.
To sum it all up the collective awareness of humanity as a whole has to undergo a sea change if it wants to be a part of the New Earth.

The word ‘swastika’ comes from Sanskrit, the
ancient Vedic language, and it means
‘conducive to well being.’ It is derived
from two Sanskrit words: ‘su,’ meaning
‘well,’ and ‘asti,’ from the verb to be,
meaning ‘it is.’
The right-handed swastika has been used as a
positive expression of life by the ancient
Mesopotamians, the early Christians and
Byzantines, the Mayans, as well as the Hopi
and other Native American Indian tribes.
In relation to the Hopi, it can be seen on
their 'prophecy rock' as illustrated below,
and it is considered the initiator of the new
age after the 'Great Purification'.
The swastika is also an ancient Vedic symbol
for the Sun, and of the Vedic diety Lord
Ganesha, the elephant headed God, who is the
first born son in the Universe.
His four qualities, represented by the four
hands of the swastika, are purity,
auspiciousness, innocence, and supreme
devotion to the Universal Mother principle.
Ganesh bestows these qualities with the help
of the right-handed swastika, the symbol of
creation.
The left-handed swastika is a symbol of
Kali, the Vedic Goddess who symbolizes
destruction.
In Sanskrit, this left-handed swastika is
named by a different word, 'sauvastika,'
which is the antithesis of 'svastika.'
Thus, the left-handed swastika means 'not
conducive to well being.' This is the
swastika which was used in World War II as
a symbol for Adolf Hitler's Nazi movement.
In spite of what it represents, the
left-handed swastika is still widely used
throughout the world, including India,
where it is quite prevalent.
The use of the left-handed swastika is
often due to spiritual ignorance, which
has crept into society in modern times.
Such ignorance is an indicator to where
humanity is heading in the future.
Vedic scripture states that we are presently
living in 'Kaliyuga,' or the age of Kali,
which will meet its end through 'Pralaya,'
meaning widescale destruction.
Since creation and destruction are two
unseparable facets of the Cosmic Plan, both
symbols have come into prominence through
the ages.
Our community is concerned with a new
begining, and thus is our ideology
symbolized by the right-handed swastika,
representing creation and renewed growth.
Astrologically, the right-handed swastika
is a symbol of the Seventh Ray, which is
the governing Ray of the Age of Aquarius,
which is dawning upon us as the influence
of the Piscean Age begins to wane.
The Seventh Ray is essentially an agent of
fusion, blending, and coordination. It is
also the ray of ceremonial order and is
responsible for bringing forth the energies
favouring group endeavor.
The circle surrounding our swastika
represents our Mother Earth, the cradle of
humanity, and the four dots within our
swastika represent the four races, red,
yellow, brown, and white, who presently
inhabit the earth.
In conclusion, our symbol as a whole
signifies the four races of humanity living
in a state of co-operation with each other
and sharing equally the resources provided by
Mother Earth. It further signifies a state
of harmony between man and nature, which in
turn fosters true growth in all the realms.

These words are dedicated to my humanitarian
friends all across the world.
We get to hear a lot about 'peace' ,'love'
and 'brotherhood' from them which makes one
wonder what these words actually mean
especially at a time when humanity as a whole
is standing on the brink of a disaster.
'Love' at present is usually realized as
sensitivity to the physical, mental or
emotional needs of fellow human beings.
Though this type of 'love' pervades the world
of today at various levels of human existence
we still find that things are only
deteriorating with time.
The fault than lies not with 'love' but the
meaning we ascribe to it.
'Love' in reality is the quality with in an
individual which seeks to raise the levels of
consciousness among fellow human beings to
ones own level and beyond.
'Love' is the true understanding of the
Cosmic Plan . It is the universal force
which seeks nothing but the manifestation of
this plan on all planes of existence.
It is thus a true humanitarian force which
seeks to transform each and everyone without
asking for anything in return. It expresses
through an individual as a desire to serve
the plan without any personal motive.
Any other act which shares a different intent
is not an act of 'love' but a selfish
expression of the human ego.
This superficial and incorrect interpretation
of 'love' is costing us a lot as we still are
far from achieving a state of brotherhood
among humanity as a whole.
Our 'love' is bound with in the confines of
the family, nationality and religious
groupism.
Todays mother 'loves' her child , a love that
has been glorified to the hilt by society,
but at the same time she takes it upon
herself not to love any other child that is
not her own.
We are still a childish society with a very
primitive personal view of love which means
that it is alright for one person to love
another person and maintain neutrality
(sometimes hatred) towards the rest.
More often than not we try to put our loved
ones in a box and see to it that no harm
comes to them. Our definition of harm
usually relates to transformation, change,
death , all of which are considered
undesirable.
So even when we 'love' a person from our
socially accepted perspective we try to stunt
his/her growth as an individual and thus only
end up doing him/her harm.
In my view this is what our friends are doing
in instinctually following their protective,
motherly urges for humanity.
Why i use the word instinctual is because the
amount of thought and the level of awareness
required to serve humanity in the correct way
is generally lacking .
A lot of our humanitarian friends scoff at
even the idea of the collapse of human
civilization as we know it.
Everyone who is propagating this idea of
reality is branded as anti-social, cultist
etc etc.
According to them no collapse ever happened
and is ver going to happen as such a thought
implies that a lot of people will perish
which obviously is not the right way to
think.
Our friend's 'love' for humanity blinds their
eyes to the actions of humanity which is
seeking to destroy the equilibrium of life on
Earth.
Just like an ignorant mother who seeks to
halt the true spiritual growth of her own
child in the name of love, these people are
causing immense harm to humanity in the name
of humanitarianism.
I know that all of these people have best of
intentions in their hearts towards the cause
of humanity, but the fact remains that lack
of wisdom and awareness can nullify the best
of intentions.
Just as the saying goes , " It is better to
have an intelligent enemy rather than have a
foolish friend."
If some part of humanity survives the coming
changes it would not be due to the efforts of
these people but because of those who
understood and confronted reality and shared
their understanding with others.
In the case of the humanitarians who are
believers as well the permanent argument is
" How can our compassionate Creator bestow
destruction upon his own children ? "
Nobody is willing to admit that 'destruction'
is also a part of the Plan of the Creator
just as much as death is a part of the game
of life.
Destruction is always termed evil ( 'satanic'
if I may use the term popularised by
Christianity in particular) and it is a pity
that the majority of humanity has imbibed
this idea deep with in its collective psyche.
'Peace' is another word which is in vogue in
the present times especially among our
humanitarian friends and politicians.
'Peace' in its present context means no
external fighting among nations and with in
nations.
In this peaceful state it is alright for
everyone from an individual to a nation to
fiercely compete for grabbing a bigger share
of the earth's bounties.
Every body wants ' peace' so that every one
gets a chance to prosper or at least pursue
that illusion by exploiting the earth's
resources to the maximum regardless of the
consequences.
Even when everybody wants peace or is at
least talking about it, the reality is that
the 20th century has been the bloodiest
century in recorded history.
So there is a flaw in our present definition
of 'peace' too and if the modern man carries
on with the same way of thinking as he has
been doing for the past century I must say
that 'war' would always be hanging just
around the corner.
'Peace' in reality is the state of being at
harmony with nature, universe and the cosmic
mind.
This peace does not come through signing
papers and treaties, creating leagues of
nations and world bodies of peace and so
forth but through a different route.
This peace is realized at first with in an
individual through the same process real
'love' is realized - the process of
contemplation and reflection which leads to
an increased awareness on levels.
After that it is seen in the one to one
relationships of these aware individuals.
From there it finds manifestation with in a
group and from there it is achieved in
society and so forth.
This is the reason why it is important for
aware individuals of the present to get
together in groups so that in the future the
dream of a harmonious human society is
realized.
In simple terms what i am trying to convey is
that the dream of my humanitarian friends
where an atmosphere of brotherhood exists
between all of humanity can not be realized
with in the framework of the present
civilization.
The reason for this is quite simple - the
present civilization is not in harmony with
nature and until there is harmony between
'man' and 'nature' there can not be harmony
between 'man' and 'man'.
If my friends would just ponder on this
statement for a while, may be they would also
begin to see the fall of the 'modern way of
life' in a different light.
Finally i would just like to say that :
" All of our problems arise from the limited
ways in which we think and feel. "

The human race is fast approaching an end of
an age, and it is important for us to be
aware of this transition to make the
appropriate preparations.
We are not suggesting that anyone engage in
survival preparedness, rather we hope
instead that each of us will make changes
within our inner being.
Unforunately, the great majority of humankind
will enter into these coming changes
completely unaware.
Many of us tend to believe that the
world in which we live is as stable and
permanent as the concrete beneath our feet.
It is unimaginable for most to think that the
great technological civilization of this
age could crumble to ruin.
The truth of the matter is much to the
contrary, and the world in which we live,
especially this modern world, is actually
very fragile.
At the present time, our world faces great
peril through a variety of possible
catastrophes.
Great catastrophes are sure to come, and with
their coming, it does not matter if any one
of us survives.
Survival preparedness is not at issue here,
rather what is important is that we learn
from the coming changes and re-direct our
inner being accordingly.
The human race has developed a system of
modern living based on competition,
materialism, consumption, and exploitation.
This modern system of living has brought
mankind to the brink of self-extinction, and
each of us, in a small way, is responsible
for this state of affairs.
The sad truth is that most of us are still
very content with living within this system.
Humanity has reached the point of no return,
and it is no longer realistic to think that
enough people around the globe will have a
sudden change of heart.
But even if the world as a whole will not
change, we as individuals still can.
To start, each of us must begin once again to
see time and reality as cyclical, and not
linear, as most in the modern world believe
it to be.
The Darwinian theory of evolution suggests
that the human race is in a state of
unhindered evolution by the process of
natural selection.
This implies that we, as a race, are becoming
more intelligent than our ancestors with each
passing generation.
The theory further suggests that we are in a
state of perpetual progress, through lineartime,
which only moves forward.
This is in opposition to the view held by all
ancient civilisations, who knew that time is
cyclical, and that world ages repeat
themselves.
In ancient astrology, the term 'world age'
signifies the time period between two great
purifications, that is, cycles of great
destruction and re-creation.
According to the ancients, the perilous
situation we find ourselves in today is
nothing new, and it was very much
predicted and expected.
Humanity was faced with the same situation
about 12,000 years ago, when great floods
destroyed flourishing civilisations which
had become overly materialistic as they
too approached the end of their age.
Through massive catastrophies, significant
portions of humanity die, and we start the
cycle again, all as a very natural and
cyclical process of life and death.
Unlike Darwin had theorized, we evolve in
these cycles of time rather than evolving
along a path of linear time.
Albert Einstein, in his special theory of
relativity, points out that the space-time
continuum, which defines the physics of
the perceivable universe, is curved.
Anything which is curved is part of a circle;
it is not a plane, and nothing in our
universe, including time, is linear.
This cycle of destruction and creation has
happened before, and it is about to happen
again.
Nearly all of us have experienced this cycle
in ages past, and we will experience it again
and again, until we begin to focus our
attention on learning the true meaning of
life.
When we do this, we will begin to grow on the
true evolutionary ladder, which has nothing
to do with Darwin.
All knowledge about the meaning of life and
how it should be lived is inherent within
our mind.
It is up to each of us to discover the true
meaning of life by inquiring within our own
minds.
If someone tells you how you should live,
what you should do, what your path might be,
and if you follow that road, it will lead
you nowhere.
Each of us has a different path which we
are to find on our own.
Learning along our path is a continous and
effortless process, but one must stay awake
mentally, and not allow oneself to be
influenced by the conditioning of this world.
One can only stay awake mentally with a mind
that is not already conditioned by society,
rules, orthodoxy, nationality, religion,
and so on.
The awareness and sensitivity needed to see
the truth is inherent in all of us when we
are children, but these gifts are smothered
out of us through modern education.
Modern education is a means to promote
conformity and to condition our young in
order to preserve the established social
patterns of this corrupt system.
A free mind of an aware individual has the
capacity to get to the truth of any matter,
even the most difficult of questions.
Inquiry is the first step, and contemplation
on the inquiry is the second step.
With inquiry, we may seek counsel from
outside sources, but without a mind that is
free of conditioning, it all leads nowhere.
At this critical point in time, at the end of
this age, aware individuals must move away
from this dying system, and begin to create a
new, self-sustainable future in harmony with
the forces of nature.
Each of us should come together in a spirit
of complete brotherhood, and thus present an
example as a witness to others.
We must create together, first in our minds
and then in reality, a society without fear,
prejudice, greed and competition.
This society must facilitate right
relationships on all levels, and impart a
correct education to coming generations.
Anyone who is sincerely willing to do this
will not fail, because if one is completely
convinced of an idea with the whole of his
being, then his actions will automatically
resonate with his thinking.

Throughout all nations, many feel the pain arising out of empty and directionless living.
Millions lack an understanding of what human life is about, how precious it is, and how we might best make use of our time and resources while on earth.
The illusion of the modern world seems to offer so much, yet many know something very vital is missing.
Humanity has lost touch with mother nature, and the effects of this are clearly evident all around.
While on earth, we are blessed to have an opportunity for true spiritual growth, yet human birth is no longer considered an opportunity to grow in the realm of spirit.
As people of this earth move toward material pursuits and away from a grounding in the spirit, our world heads toward global confusion.
Confusion generates frustration, anger, insecurity, and intolerance, which eventually builds up between nations to leak out in the form of war.
The threat of war is beginning to overshadow any future hope for peace, and destruction on a massive scale might soon be witnessed by many.
This is an invitation for a few talented and determined individuals to plant the seeds of a new future.
We seek visitors and potential residents for our newly developing international, eco-friendly, self-sustaining, farm community.
Potential residents should have definite creative interests, possibly being an artisan, thinker, writer, musician, healer, visionary, philosopher, astrologer, theologian, poet, builder, specialist in the natural sciences, etc.
The environment will be primarily a place to read, think, learn, write, teach, and grow, where dreams and ideas for the future can be shaped and recorded.
Our community is open to all, regardless of age, race, religion, or gender, who espouse the wisdom of the ages, synthesis and ecumenicalism.

To understand non-duality and how it operates
in our lives we must first think back to a
state before this physical universe came into
being.
One has to understand that there are many universe's
and this physical one is just one of them.
Only the 'Creator' or in Vedic terminology, the
'Paramatman,' exists in that timeless state.
We can not refer to Paramatman as a male or
female, because it is without gender.
Being beyond time and space, and Paramatman
is also beyond nature and it's qualities.
Before this universe began, there were no contradictions,
as all were humble to the original divine spark.
There were various lokas/creations/realms of existence
but no pain or suffering.
Then came an error, which was basically
'a being' going against the will of the
real creator and decided to become
creator itself.
In this fraudulent universe
created by this false creator
known by many names Rex Mundi, Jehovah etc.
who now proclaimed itself as god
we experience this duality as
pleasure and pain, pessimism and optimism,
life and death, and so on.
This universe (loka) is based on perversion of the original
blueprints of other universe's.
There is only one way to incorporate
original non-duality in our daily lives
in this fraud world.
We must surrender our ego, i-ness to
the original divine spark.
This allows us to free ourself from
the false web 'maya' of this fake world.
This is not always an easy task, because the
illusionary power of this false creation, or the Web of
Maya, is very strongly programmed into all the
beings caught here.
Like an insect, once caught in this web, we
are more often than not allowed to pass
through.
If anyone tells you that just by going deeper within
your 'Self' you can break free from this
prison, than they are lying.
All this newagey 'God is within you' is
ego-enhancing nonsense which was meant to
keep beings trapped in this realm
of pain & torture.
Thats why Krishna asks Arjun in
Gita to not pay attention to his own
self but surrender his self to him.
Attention is the only device one has
in this universe which is beyond the evil
programming.
This device should never
be used to peer inside one's own self because all
one will find there is one's own genetics &
ancestors & all of the combined programming
which will make one more confused & trapped.
The only way out is a sincere seeking of divine
through using one's pure attention
and surrendering of the ego
to the 'paramatman'.
Only when this is done, one realizes the true
principle of Non-duality as one becomes
whole again through connectivity with the Original
divine spark.
An Introduction by Prashant Trivedi
Ayurveda is an ancient Vedic system of
healing with a recorded history of 5000
years.
Vedic texts suggest that this science was
revealed by the Creator himself when the
first human beings were created.
The word Ayurveda is derived from two
Sanskrit roots: ayu’ah, or life, and veda,
or science.
Ayurveda thus translated from Sanskit means
'the science of life.'
Thousands of years before the arrival of the
modern systems of medicine, Ayurveda had been
the only means of healing on the Indian
subcontinent.
With the arrival of modern systems of medical
practices over the past century, Ayurveda has
withstood the test of time due to its
definite advantages.
The basic principle of Ayurveda relates to
the three vital elements in the human body:
Vata, or the wind element,
Kapha, or the water element, and
Pitta, or the fire element.
Ayurvedic medicine maintains that all
ailments of the human body arise from an
imbalance in the proportion of these
three vital elements.
Ayurveda also uses the knowledge and wisdom
attained from yoga and astrology for
diagnosis and cure, as these three sciences
share a lot of common ground and purpose.
Treatment is usually based upon medicines
extracted from natural herbs and medicinal
plants.
All herbal medicine used in Ayurvedic healing
has virtually no side effects, and the cure
is permanent, gentle, and quick.
There is a misconception that Ayurveda is
meant for curing only simple ailments, when
in fact it is very potent in curing serious
disorders.
Ayurveda medicine does not use surgery for
treatment of even complicated diseases, and
healing is brought about through the use of
natural medicines, yoga, regulation of diet,
and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Even diseases such as cancer and AIDS, which
are believed by many to be incurable in their
final stages can be cured through Ayurvedic
medicine.
Ayurveda healing is the epitomy of the old
adage 'Prevention is better than cure,' as it
is directed toward implementing solutions on
how to avoid ailments from plaguing the body.
Nearly all of the herbs used in Ayurvedic
medicine are found in the Himalayan forests,
and with the help of an expert in Ayurvedic
herbs, they can be easily accessible for our
community.

In my study of ancient Vedic scriptures, I have come across some startling conclusions. Through this piece I would like to share some of them with you.
For example, the ancient Vedic seers knew about the phenomenon of relativity, as can be seen from this story taken from one of the Vedic scriptures:
An Earthly King was called upon by Brahma, the Creator among the Trinity of Vedic deities presiding over universal affairs, to visit him in his abode which was quite far (many light years) away from earth. The Earthly King agreed, and visited the abode of Brahma and spent around fifteen minutes (of Brahmaloka time) witnessing the splendour of Brahmaloka.
After that he asked Brahma to arrange for his return to Earth as his family and kingdom awaited him. Brahma laughed and told him that by the time he returned to earth, thousands of years of Earth time would have passed. No one would recognize him as his Kingdom no longer existed and his family had already gone through many generations. This shows beyond doubt that the ancient Vedic seers knew about time travel and the relativity of time and space long before Albert Einstein revealed his theories to the modern world.
I feel that the key to unlocking the recently discovered “Orion” mystery of the Pyramids, the “Draconis” mystery of temples in Angkor, and the “Pleiades” mystery of the Mayan civilization, lies in the ancient Vedic texts. These texts contain more references concerning all these sacred constellations and deep sky objects than any other ancient manuscripts.
The Orion mystery of the Pyramids arises from the fact that the three Pyramids at Giza, located south-west of Cairo, are aligned exactly as the three middle stars of the constellation of Orion namely Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka.
Also, the three Pyramids are aligned at an angle of 45 degrees, and astronomical data shows that the belt of Orion was tilted at such an angle around 10,500 BC. Hence, a startling conclusion looms on the horizon, which is that the Pyramids were constructed not around 2500 BC by the Egyptians, but by a more advanced civilization thousands of years earlier.
The story does not end here, as it is found that the main chamber of the King’s pyramid was linked to passages which aimed directly at the heart of Orion as it would have been located in that time.
The mystery deepens when one finds that the temples at Angkor in Cambodia form a shape exactly similar to the constellation of Draconis. Using astronomical data, once again it is found that the temples align with the constellation as it appeared around 10,500 BC.
It is also interesting to note that the constellations of Orion and Draconis lie almost opposite to each other in the celestial view from Earth.
Interestingly, the figure of 10,500 BC comes up in both cases, and this is also the time given by esoteric astrologers for the last great global cataclysm which destroyed a ivilization much more advanced than our own.
The recent advances made in esoteric astrology can help understand why the ancients were so keen on studying and following the motion of these sacred constellations.
Within these celestial bodies also lies the key to the common source of all these civilizations, which can only be understood by understanding their esoteric significance through the study of astrology of the ancients.
If these theories are correct, then we can safely conclude that the ancients constructed these structures as astronomical codes for preserving the knowledge of the past cataclysm, which happened around 10,500 BC, and also as a warning for future generations.
Most of the esoteric astrologers agree that the last major cataclysm occurred around 10,000 BC when the Age of Virgo gave way to the Age of Leo.
This change of ages takes place due to an astronomical reality know as Precession. The earth’s axis is not stationary, but spins around and completes one revolution about each 26,000 years.
This means that about every 2000 years, a different astrological sign rises at dawn on the Spring Equinox (when night and day are of equal length). That period in history is said to be the Age of that rising sign.
In my view, the simplistic and approximate breakdown of the Ages after the Great Flood around 10,000 BC would be like this.
10000 - 8000 BC : Age of Leo
8000 - 6000 BC : Age of Cancer
6000 - 4000 BC : Age of Gemini
4000 - 2000 BC : Age of Taurus
2000 - 1 BC : Age of Aries
1 - 2000 AD : Age of Pisces
2000 AD onward : Age of Aquarius
Now the reason why I use the word approximate is that the transition time in the shifting of these ages varies from a few years to a few hundred years and the actual transition point is highly debatable as the boundaries of the various signs of the zodiac are defined differently in different systems.
These different Ages were characterized by use of common symbols by all the civilizations which happened to exist at that time in history.
For example, the Age of Leo was characterized by Sun worship, and all the cultures of this time were termed Heliolithic.
Another characteristic of Leo symbology was the use of the Lion as in the Great Sphinx. The use of Gold as currency was the norm at that time, and Gold and Lion are unique symbols of the sign Leo and its planetary ruler the Sun.
Cults of Great Mother Goddess came up everywhere, especially across Asia minor and the shores of the Mediterranean during the Age of Cancer.
Though our knowledge of this time in history is shadowy to say the least, still one can safely say that Sun worship gave way to Moon worship, as Moon is the planetary ruler of the Sign cancer.Cancer is also the sign associated with the Great Mother, the creator of the Universe.
This same Mother can be seen manifesting in various ancient cultures: the Isis of Egyptians, Nana of Chaldeans, Rhea of the Romans, Spiderwoman of the Hopi, and Shakti of the Vedic scriptures, but they all arose from the early Mother goddess cults of the Age of Cancer.
The Age of Gemini brought about the worship of the twin-gods. The Phoenician, Egyptian, Babylonian, Assyrian and Vedic cultures are testimony to the cult of the Twins who were born of the mating of the universal male principle symbolized by the Sun and universal female principle symbolized by Earth and the Moon.
Since Gemini is the sign of writing and communication, we find that new languages were discovered and spread in this time. The best example is that of the Sumerians who are supposed to have brought the art of writing from Central Asia to Mesopotamia around this period.
Since the Egyptian civilization was the one we know most about in the Age of Taurus, we have its real evidence in Egyptian Bull and Earth mother cults which were part of Egyptian culture and religion at this time. This comes as no surprise as Taurus is the sign ruling over the desire nature on Earth symbolized by its symbol, the Bull.
Taurus also presides over the gifts of mother Earth to its inhabitants. It is thus the sign ruling agriculture which reached a sort of peak in the civilization of Egypt due to the river now known as Nile. Few civilizations have surpassed the affluence of the ancient Egyptians.
The Age of Aries found its symbolism in the main civilizations of its time, namely the Roman and Greek. The Arian idea of individualism was the cornerstone for these civilizations. The Greeks worshipped Apollo, the god of the Sun. Sun finds its exaltation in the sign of Aries and thus its worship returned once again.
Romans worshipped Mars along with Zeus, as the God of War. Since much of their civilization was based upon war, they had special regard for Mars above all the rest, which is the planetary ruler of Aries. It was the age of the military throughout the world.
Sun worship returned among the Egyptians through the Pharaoh Amenhotep IV. Jews became the chosen ones for this Age with Moses laying down the guiding principles which are very much a mixture of the sign Aries and the Sign Libra, its polar opposite.
Buddha, who had five planets in the Sign Aries at Midheaven in his chart, ushered in a new individualistic belief which did not need help of any Gods and Goddesses for attaining Nirvana, very much in keeping with Arian spirit.
Lao Tse, Confucius, and Zoroaster heralded new beliefs along the same lines in ancient China and ancient Persia.
The Age of Pisces was clearly marked by the arrival of Jesus. He went against the Old Testament, which emphasised ram and the sacrificial fire due to its Arian origins. Through his teachings the New Testament was brought about, along with the emblem of ‘fish’ and baptism by ‘water’.
Now ‘fish’ is the symbol of the sign Pisces and ‘water’ is its element. Even on a deep psychological and spiritual level, his teachings and life represent the qualities of the sign Pisces.
Incidentally, according to the majority of scholars, Jesus was born when the planets Jupiter and Saturn joined in the sign Pisces. This could have been the Star of Magi which the three wise men from east followed.
Virgo, the opposite sign of Pisces, found its symbolism through Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus. Virgo, as is common knowledge the sign of the Virgin.
This Age saw abundant mysticism in poetry, art and culture throughout the world. The Christian mystics and the Sufis were all tuned in to the vibrations of this emotional, all inclusive sign.
Exaltation of martyrdom, extreme monasticism, the Dark Ages, the blind belief systems, unquestioned orthodoxy represent some of the dark sides of the Piscean era.
The Piscean age started giving way with the advent of scientific thought during the Renaissance, but it still holds the majority of humanity in its grasp through the orthodox religions, blind patriotism, and growing financial inequality.
Due to concentration on the lower energies of this sign especially in the last century, the world has virtually become a ‘market’ and ‘money’ its God.
One can never be sure when exactly the energies of Aquarius, the sign of Man, will take over. My view is that this change would take place somewhere in the early years of the 21st century.
Another important astrological event which is happening now is the conjunction of winter solistice with the Galactic center, which according to vedic scholars lies at around 6 degrees of the sign , Sagittarius.
Interestingly the timing of the last Great Flood around 10,000 B.C coincided with conjunction of summer solstice with the Galactic center. As we know, the summer solstice is the point in time exactly opposite to the winter solstice.
The Christ ( derived from the greek word Christos, meaning the “anointed one” )who inaugurated the age of Pisces as the Jesus of Nazareth, himself says ;
“When the Sign of Man shall come, he will enlighten you in all things .”
In my view, the Aquarian Age, the age of individual enlightenment and brotherhood of Man, will only manifest fully only after a purification process.
This fall is imminent in the way this civilization has polluted the Earth beyond repair … at least by human means!
Of course we all wish to see things happen with the minimum of suffering and maximum of benefit but the present reality and the message of the ancients reveals a different plot which we must accept as a manifestation of the cosmic intelligence /will.
The ancients have many times warned us that in the past, many civilizations which considered themselves invincible, were reduced to dust by the storms of ‘time’.
Coming back to the time of the last global cataclysm, the Great Sphinx is the structure which assumes prime importance in marking the time around 10,500 BC. It is regarded by esoteric astrologers as a combination of signs Leo and Virgo.
It is quite evident in its mixing of human and animal form that it was an attempt to represent the change of Ages from Virgo, a sign with a human symbol, to the Age of Leo, a sign with lion as its symbol.
Several descriptions of this catastrophe and its timing can be found within the wisdom and scriptures of all the ancient civilizations, including that of the Native American Indians.
In the vedic scriptures, one can get the detailed accounts of the civilizations which made these structures around 10,500 BC, and which existed before and during the Age of Leo.
It is quite surprising that the two main ancient Vedic epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata, deal with nothing but the culture and lifestyle of the four main Ages before 2000 B.C. Those ages are the Age of Leo, the Age of Cancer, the Age of Gemini, and finally the Age of Taurus.
The Vedic scripture Ramayana tells us of the Kings who ruled in the Age of Leo, and reveals that they all considered themselves Suryavanshi, meaning the direct descendants of the Sun!
In other words, they were all Sun Kings, which is a very strong indicator of that time being the Age of Leo, as Sun has the lordship of Leo according to Vedic astrology.
The Ramayana also reveals that some of the cities in that Age which were built mostly of Gold, which again is associated with Sun and the sign of Leo in Vedic astrology.
The epic talks about flying machines, which functioned simply from the power of thought, and throughout, it describes a very advanced civilization whose downfall came through pursuit of excessive materialism.
The information that the Ramayana contains is in the form of a long continuous story, but it is not hard to decipher the hidden meaning, especially if one uses the astrological hints given throughout the tale.
The killing of Ravana, (the Titan king, who has Leo rising as his ascendant in his chart) by Rama, (the Aryan prince, an incarnation of Vishnu and the deity of preservation among the Vedic Trinity who has Cancer rising as his ascendant), symbolises the end of the Age of Leo and the beginning of the Age of Cancer.
This transition was brought about through a terrible war in which Rama defeated Ravana ith the help of his friend the Monkey King and his army.
Astrologically, this shows that Mars was the planet which helped bring about the Age of Cancer, which is no surprise as Mars is the most benefic planet for Cancer ascendant. According to Vedic astrology, Mars is the planet which rules over monkeys and other primates.
It also brings to fore an interesting thought that some primate races were existing side by side of more evolved human races. This could be a key for solving the long unsolved riddle of evolution of human beings, as it opens up the possibility that humans and primates may not have a common ancestry.
Rama was succeeded by his twin sons, Luv and Kush, which symbolized the change from the Age of Cancer to the Age of Gemini, which is the Sign of the Twins.
This transition also took place with a struggle in which the twin brothers defeated their father’s armies. Not much emphasis is paid on this part of the scripture, as it puts Rama on the wrong side, which is not acceptable to many orthodox Hindus.
The other epic, Mahabharta, describes the Age of Taurus and the transition from the Age of Taurus to the Age of Aries. The central character is Krishna, an incarnation of Vishnu who is born with Taurus rising in his ascendant. In the story, Krishna’s pastimes reflect the culture and living of that time in history in a most fascinating way.
It is interesting to note that he was born as a cowherd, where in Vedic astrology, the cow is directly related to the sign of Taurus.
It is Krishna who said to his friend Arjun in the middle of the battlefield:
“Whenever there is decay of righteousness and exaltation of unrighteousness, O Bharata, than I Myself come forth for the protection of the good, for the sake of establishing righteousness, I am born from Age to Age.”
These words again point to the shifting of the Ages and the presence of a divine incarnation who heralds every new Age.
The actual war of Mahabharata, a war involving all the kingdoms on earth, which is placed at around 3100 BC by various scholars, turns out to be the conflict which inaugurates Kaliyuga, or the Age of darkness.
In fact, this war also relates to the transition from the Age of Taurus to the Age of Aries, symbolized by the death of Krishna. The actual transition took place around 2000 BC, during the reign of King Parikshit, the last king in the lineage of Pandavas, the five brothers who emerged victorious in Mahabharata.
The Vedic tradition felt that humanity lost some part of their original divinity through each of the changing ages until things finally hit rock bottom in Kaliyuga. The cycle repeats itself after a cataclysm similar to that of 10,000 BC.
After 2000 BC, we are very much into the Era of recorded history and historical diaries of the changing ages like the Ramayana and Mahabharata were no longer required.
We can see that the two cycles, one of the changing Astrological Ages and the other of changing Ages based upon the shifting level of consciousness of humanity, overlap each other in unison like two wheels with different number of spokes revolving side by side with the same speed.
In vedic astrology, there are 27 constellations spanning the 12 signs of the zodiac. One of these constellations within the sign Gemini is Ardra, which is nothing but the second brightest star in Orion, known as Betelguese. It is supposed to be the abode of Shiva, one of the Trinity and the Vedic deity presiding over Destruction and Regeneration.
Orion houses two constellations in Vedic astrology and is revered in all the Vedic texts as the gateway from where the souls descend to begin their earthly life. It is thus called the “Giver of Life”.
Astronomically, Orion is located in the gap between the astrological signs of Taurus and Gemini. This gap is one of the two celestial gateways in the Zodiac; the other one lies between the astrological signs of Scorpio and Sagittarius.
Pleiades is again one of the constellations mentioned in Vedic astrology, and is supposed to be ruled by the Sun. It is revered as being the “Giver of transcendental Knowledge” along with understanding of the Cosmic Laws.
I feel that all the Knowledge is out there already, and all we need to do is put the pieces together and synthesize all the seemingly unrelated aspects.
For example, the fact that Draconis among the constellations signifies the Flying Serpent, relates to the Mayan civilization which worshipped the Flying Serpent with the temples of Angkor, which were made in the image of this constellation.
The Flying Serpent is revered in the Chinese culture as the “Dragon” which in turn symbolizes the very heights of wisdom and knowledge.
The same Serpent is revered in the Vedic scriptures due its association with the “Kundalini” power, which resides at the base of the spine and is the giver of supreme enlightenment once it opens up the “Crown center” located at the top of the head.
Vedic astrology represents this Serpent power through the Moons nodes, Rahu (north node)and Ketu (south node).
In my mind their is no doubt that all the cultures and civilizations past and present have a common origin. I also think that the science of astrology is the common link between the symbolism of all these cultures.
Why it has become possible for us to break this astronomical / astrological code of the Ancients at the present time is because we might again be on the verge of another global transformation similar to that of 10,000 BC, and the key to our future may lie in this very Knowledge !
Rainy violet you come down
Showering on the earth so brown
No time to think and wonder why
Which is better the Earth or the Sky
Rainy violet you lose your own
A martyr to the seeds they have sown
But the world goes round and round
And once again they’ll be sorrow bound
Rainy violet you come down
Blistering on those painful clowns
Please be sure to where your loyalties lie
With the Men on Earth or Gods in the Sky
Rainy violet you come down
Regardless of those laughs and frowns
A funny feeling it may be true
Just want to know why I feel like you
Freedom
The earth is to a stone
As a Self crowded to alone,
Leaves are to a tree
As action to the free.
Reaching Out
Words, words, words
Words mere words
How could words
Touch thy soul.
I , my , mine
I tiny I
How could I
Touch thy soul
Non- Duality
Just like the air kisses all
The pure, the foul , the mountains and the sea
The Paramatman manifests through all
Completely unaffected by all that could ever be.
Realisation
Bathing infinitely in an ocean unknown
Enjoying the fruits of the tree i have grown
Till the day it all comes to pass
Flushed in the radiance the Mother has shown.
Divine Offerings
Would it be sweet, the nectar so
Would it smell , an unborn bud,
Would it be fresh, the fruit to be,
Would it know , the mind untouched
Visions
Visions if you wish to find
Flowing from your fanciful mind,
For their is only One Light
And others just chains to bind.
One
Way to the One, is the way to go
Knowing , nothing is left to know,
Merge in the One, the eternal luminous glow
Showing , nothing is left to show
Reverence to the One, to whom all you owe
Bowing , nothing is left to bow.
Extremities
Would you know the infinite ,
If you couldn't fathom the void,
Would you know the truth,
If no one lied.
Holes in the Sky / Bleeding Stars
Prophectic Visions of Grandfather:
It was then that the sky seemed to surge and
huge holes began to appear. The holes tore
with a resounding, thunderous sound, and the
very Earth, rocks, and soil shook.
The skin of the sky seemed to be torn open
like a series of gaping wounds, and through
these wounds seeped a liquid that seemed like
the oozing of an infection, a great sea of
floating garbage, oil, and dead fish.
It was through one of these wounds that
Grandfather saw the floating bodies of
dolphins, accompanied by tremendous upheavals
of the Earth and of violent storms.
As he held fast to the trembling Earth his
eyes fell from the sky, and all about him,
all at once, was disaster. Piles of garbage
reached to the skies, forests lay cut and
dying, coastlines flooded, and storms grew
more violent and thunderous. With each
passing moment the Earth shook with greater
intensity.
Suddenly the Earth stopped shaking and the
sky cleared. Out of the dusty air walked the
warrior spirit, who stopped a short distance
from Grandfather. As Grandfather looked into
the face of the spirit he could see that
there were great tears flowing from his eyes,
and each tear fell to the Earth with a
searing sound.
The spirit looked at Grandfather for a long
moment, then finally spoke, saying, "Holes in
the sky." Grandfather thought for a moment,
then in a questioning, disbelieving manner
said, "Holes in the Sky?"
And the spirit answered, saying,
"They will become the sign of the destruction
of man. The holes in the sky, and all that
you have seen could become man's reality.
It is here, at the beginning of this second
sign, that man can no longer heal the Earth
with physical action.
It is here that man must heed the warning and
work harder to change the future at hand.
But now man must not only work physically, he
must also work spiritually, through prayer,
for only through prayer can man hope to heal
the Earth and himself.'
There was a long pause.
Grandfather thought of the impossibility of
holes in the sky.
Surely Grandfather knew that there could be a
spirit in the sky, but holes?
That the societies of Earth would not
notice them would hardly seem likely.
The spirit drew closer and spoke again,
almost in a whisper.
"These holes are a direct result of man's
life, his travel, and the sins of his
grandfathers and grandmothers. These holes,
will be the second sign, and they will mark
the killing of his grandchildren. They will
become a legacy to man's life away from
Nature."
"It is during the time of these holes that
mankind's thinking will have crossed a great
transition point. Men will then be faced
with a choice, a choice to continue on the
path of destruction, or to move back to the
philosophy of the Earth and a simple
existence."
"It is here that the decision must be made,
or all will be lost."
Without another word the spirit turned and
walked back into the dust.
Grandfather spent the next four days at the
cave entrance, and during that time nothing
spoke to him, not even the Earth.
He said that it was a time of great sorrow,
of aloneness, and a time to digest all that
had taken place. He knew that these things
would not appear in his life time, but they
had to be passed down to the people of the
future, with the same urgency and power with
which they had been delivered to him.
He did not know how he could explain
these unlikely events to anyone.
Surely the elders and shamans of the tribes
would understand but not the people, and
certainly not anyone who was removed from the
Earth and Spirit.
He sat for the four full days, unmoving, as
if made of stone, and it was at the end of
the fourth day that the third Vision came to
him.
As he gazed out onto the landscape toward the
setting sun, the sky suddenly turned back to
a liquid and turned blood red.
As far as his eyes could see, the sky was
solid red, with no variation in shadow,
texture, or light.
The whole of creation seemed to have grown
still, as if awaiting some unseen command.
Time, place, and destiny seemed to be in
limbo, stilled by the bleeding sky.
He gazed for a long time at the sky, in a
state of awe and terror, for the red color of
the sky was like nothing he had ever seen in
any sunset or sunrise.
The color was that of man, not of Nature, and
it had a vile stench and texture.
It seemed to burn the Earth wherever it
touched. As sunset drifted to night, the
stars shone bright red, the color never
leaving the sky, and everywhere was heard the
cries of fear and pain.
Again the warrior spirit appeared to
Grandfather, but this time as a voice from
the sky. Like thunder, the voice shook the
landscape, saying,
"This, then, is the third sign, the night of
the bleeding stars. It will become known
throughout the world, for the sky in all
lands will be red with the blood of the sky,
day and night. It is then, with this sign of
the third probable future, that there is no
longer hope. Life on Earth as man has lived
it will come to an end, and there can be no
turning back, physically or spiritually. It
is then that the children of the Earth must
run to the wild places and hide. For when
the sky bleeds fire, there will be no safety
in the world of man."
Grandfather sat in shocked horror as the
voice continued.
"From this time, when the stars bleed, to the
fourth and final sign will be four seasons of
peace. It is in these four seasons they must
live deep within the wild places and find a
new home, close to the Earth and the Creator."
"It is only the children of the Earth that
will survive, and they must live the
philosophy of the Earth, never returning to
the thinking of man. Survival will not be
enough, for the children of the Earth must
also live close to the spirit. Tell them
not to hesitate if and when this third sign
becomes manifest in the stars, for there are
but only four seasons to escape."
Grandfather said that the voice and the red
sky lingered for a week and then were gone as
quickly as they were made manifest.
Grandfather did not remember how many days
he'd spent at the mouth of the cave, nor did
it make a difference, for he had received the
Vision he had come for.
It was in the final night at the Eternal Cave
that the fourth vision came to Grandfather,
this time carried by the voice of a young
child.
The child spoke, saying, "The fourth and
final sign will appear through the next ten
winters following the night that the stars
will bleed. During this time the Earth will
heal itself and man will die. For those ten
years the children of the Earth must remain
hidden in the wild places, make no permanent
camps, and wander to avoid contact with the
last remaining forces of man. THEY MUST
REMAIN HIDDEN, like the ancient scouts and
fight the urge to go back to the destruction
of man. Curiosity could kill many."
There was a long silence, until Grandfather
spoke to the child spirit, asking, "And what
will happen to the worlds of man?"
There was another period of silence until
finally the child spoke again. "There will be
a great famine throughout the world, like man
cannot imagine. Waters will run vile, the
poisons of man's sins running strong in the
waters of the soils, lakes, and rivers. Crops
will fail, the animals of man will die, and
disease will kill the masses. The
grandchildren will feed upon the remains of
the dead, and all about will be cries of pain
and anguish. Roving bands of men will hunt
and kill other men for food, and water will
always be scarce, getting scarcer with each
passing year. The land, the water, the sky
will all be poisoned, and man will live in
the wrath of the Creator. Man will hide at
first in the cities, but there he will die. A
few will run to the wilderness, but the
wilderness will destroy them, for Man will be
destroyed, his cities in ruin, and it is then
that the grandchildren will pay for the sins
of their grandfathers and grandmothers."
"Is there then no hope?" Grandfather asked.
The child spoke again, "There is only hope
during the time of the first and second
signs. Upon the third sign, the night of the
bleeding, there is no longer hope, for only
the children of the Earth will survive. Man
will be given these warnings: if unheeded,
there can be no hope, for only the children
of the Earth will purge themselves of
mankind's destructive thinking. The children
of the Earth will bring a new hope to the
the socity, living closer to the Earth and
Spirit."
Then all was silent, the landscape cleared
and returned to normal and Grandfather
stepped from the vision.
Shaken, he said he had wandered for the next
season, trying to understand why he had been
chosen.
Crop circles are symbolic patterns which have been forming around the globe in crop laden fields for as long as present day history can recall.
One thing which is immediately clear to anyone (barring professional sceptics!) who steps into any real crop circle for the first time is that they are not man-made. We can’t even draw these patterns properly on a piece of paper in a matter of minutes let alone stamp them on a huge area on a wheat field with hairbreadth precision.
In the last 30 years alot of skeptics have tried to prove that crop circles are manmade hoaxes, but their attempts have never gone past making jaggedy patterns which don’t resemble a proper circle from any vantage point. All that’s usually left behind is a messy heap of damaged crop stalks.
It is common practice in today’s society to dispose any such phenomenon which can’t be explained through science or rationality to the rubbish-bin of “paranormal”.
Those few who are genuinely interested find themselves contending with a hundred thousand theories thrown at them from a plethora of scholars, engineers, ufologists, newagers, geologists, meterologists etc. No wonder one is always left with more questions than answers.
However the answers have always been with us. The only barrier which stands between us and the truth of the issue is the reluctance to take the wisdom and understandings of the ancients seriously. In ancient times communications from beyond were more frequent and the methods varied.
Who makes them?
Earth spirits/ ET’s
For what purpose?
Why do they primarily appear in specific areas like the Wiltshire plains of England?
What does it feel like to stand in the middle of a crop circle?
… its like shaking hands with the other side …

I would like to thank you for such a special spiritual reading - I have been reading it each day since I received it. I can tell you both must be very special people, and I appreciate your work.
Thank you for your direction and the difference it has made in my life. Thank you, Prash & Cheruki…I am always so touched by your messages. I have thought alot about what you said about my needing to be firm/confident about my path. For the first time, I truly believe I understand the need for such commitment. I actually did read Prash’s interview with Laura Lee. It was because of the clear wisdom and highest intent of this article that I decided to contact you in the beginning. Also, I have printed out Cheruki’s article and have it in my office where I can read it daily. I hope it is all right that I print these articles and make them available to my clients (with all credit of course given to both of you/OFSA). When I find something that lifts my awareness and inspires me to make a change, or a difference, I try to pass that information on to other seekers.
Thanks again,

I have to tell you both how much I’ve enjoyed my reading and how accurate it is! It says that I’m diplomatic, moody, have a secretive darker side, and slender in appearence…which are all true! Not to mention many other things in my reading that are true as well. Thank you for the reading! I am reccommending to some friends to get one also.

Thank you very much indeed for this reading. Even though I don’t understand everything, I think it captures some of the things I feel without being able to crystalize them more clearly or to be able to verbalize, or knowing what to do with them. My best friend who is a complete disbeliever in things such as karma or astrology and with whom I shared your reading, said that “It amazingly well reflects the direction of the searchings I have witnessed in you over the last years”, so I think this is one of the best compliments on your work.

Thank you very much for your fast, thorough and very helpful answer.

The reading arrived promptly and was comprehensive and detailed. In general, it was an accurate assessment of different aspects of my personality and how I relate to family members, society and work life. It also included predictions about the future. I asked a followup question, and received honest and clear-sighted advice … they were not afraid to point me in a clear direction.

I enjoyed your course. I found it well structured and user-friendly. In addition, you are the only astrologers I know who also provide a background of astronomy. I did not need this as I am an amateur astronomer, but I think it is good to show people what the signs actually are! When you helped me analyse my chart during the E-Mail course, you highlighted a talent for teaching that I did not know I possessed. Shortly after completing the course I was given the opportunity of holding a course and accepted. I loved it and it was a success. Since then I have been offered many more opportunities. The last one came a few weeks ago (I still can’t believe it !): an appointment as lecturer at one of the most prestigious Universities in Italy.

I have never seriously ventured into any type of astrology before, so I wasn’t sure that I could learn it. Everyone says that astrology, especially vedic astrology is very complicated. But I found the course to be very simple, and a lot of fun. The tutors really helped me a lot. Now I am able to understand my own chart, it’s so great …

I am looking forward to a more advanced course …

I found this course to be exactly what it says it is. I am now in a position to interpret not only my own chart but read other people’s charts as well. Vedic Astrology is definitely on a wave !
